Viral Marketing Strategies
Written by Matt on August 7, 2008 – 4:08 pm -The Irish Proverbs has a great quote that relates to marketing, “If you want an audience start a fight”. Everyone one of use is seeking an audience we can market to. If you write a blog or need a new idea for emarketing, a controversial way is to start a fight. This could include writing about a controversial topic or making an ad campaign that doesn’t conform to traditional advertising. Today I wanted to share with you an ad I found on the internet that meets the clever and new advertising style. This ad is a newer form of advertising called viral marketing. This simply means that viral marketing is a marketing strategy that encourages others to pass along the video or email to someone they know. This marketing is done in hopes of increasing brand awareness or to achieve another marketing purpose.
Here is the ad
Now that you have seen the video that is taking the internet by storm, did you ever notice what the advertisement was for? It seems that the video leads you to believe that cell phones transmit ultra violent rays strong enough to make popcorn, but what does that have to do with anything. It turns out that the ads are for a bluetooth company, although bluetooth headsets are never seen in the viral videos. This viral video raised awareness of the bluetooth brand by people simply wanted to know what it was all about. With the release of these viral videos, this relatively new bluetooth company has had their products featured on National television including Good Morning America, CNN, and MSN to name a few.

Writing Articles for Backlinks - The SEO Idea you Need
Written by Matt on July 31, 2008 – 3:40 pm -Many people, including me, work hours upon hours to secure backlinks for their website. Most of us only build hundreds of page rank 0 backlinks and very few page rank 2+ backlinks. With this method you will receive a lot of PR 1+ backlinks with very little effort. Not only will you receive backlinks,
but you will also show that you are an authority within a specific industry. The secret method that I will talk about today is Article Marketing. This method will yield a massive amount of page rank 1+ backlinks that are long term backlinks that carry an authority weight to them. So go on and read.
Articles are an amazing way to get backlinks, in my own experience I have had great success with this method. Case in point, I have recently begun working for a client based in the construction field, I wrote 4 articles related to this field and then put them up on Ezine Articles. About a month or so later those articles are now page rank 4,3,3,2. Ezine articles allows 3 self serving links to your webpage in your articles. That is 3 page rank 4 backlinks, 6 page rank 3 backlinks, and 3 page rank 2 backlinks! Not to mention Google will see these as authority links because of the content found in the article. It would cost a lot of money to buy those kind off links that will last for a long time.
So Where do you begin?

What Public Speaking Can Teach us about Marketing
Written by Matt on July 18, 2008 – 1:03 pm -Public speaking can be a great source of inspiration for marketing. I have put together a few tips that will help you improve your marketing ability and better understand public speaking.
You Need to Know your Audience
It seems obvious that you would never want to give a speech on preventing hot flashes during menopause to an audience of men in their mid-20s. However it’s not always so obvious that you wouldn’t want to
market your product to the wrong demographic. But if you want the most return for your marketing dollars, be sure to do research and find out to whom your product will appeal. Google is a great example of how this can be accomplished. They use information found by your emails, what you search for and other ideas to sell different products or services specifically to your needs,
Make yourself Heard
If you give a speech and no one can hear you, no one will care about what you have to say. The same goes with marketing. Once you know your target audience, if they don’t realize you exist, you don’t matter. You need to come up with new innovative ideas to help your audience hear what you have to say. However remember to know be so loud that you leave bad impressions on your target audience. In marketing you may create a bad logo that screams amateur to your readers, or you may have terrible customer service. Make yourself heard with new ideas, but be careful not to use something that might hurt your business.
Recognize and overcome fears.

The Art of Press Releases – Part 1
Written by Matt on July 2, 2008 – 7:22 pm -Press Releases can be one of the most secretive and confusing marketing tools that you can use in your arsenal. Most beginner and experienced marketers on the internet do not use press releases, nor have they ever tried it. So I thought it would be fitting to show you how to use
Press Releases to build backlinks and get a leg up on your competitors. This will be a multiple part series that will teach you step by step how to accomplish the art of press releases. That will include writing a press release, submitting the press release and tracking its progress. You can then apply what you learn to your own business or blog to gain those vital backlinks and traffic.
What is a Press Release?
A Press Release is a public relations announcement issued to the news media and other targeted publications for the purpose of letting the public know of a company. What that means is that you will create a story or event that has happened to inform the media of your presence. If you want a visual idea of what a press release is, go to Google News and type in “backlinks” or any keyword you would like. Most of the stories you will see will be press releases that are on the internet. Their are many companies on the internet that offer press release services that will submit your press release to multiple news outlets.

Writing Adword Ads that Sell
Written by Matt on June 24, 2008 – 6:37 pm -If you are one of those advertisers or the many Webmasters who use Google Adwords in order to bring in traffic to your site or into your client’s site, then you should learn the tips on making greater profit on Google Adwords.
After completing the generation of your keyword list, do the following for more traffic:
The most important thing you would need to do is to come up with an advertisement that will lure people to take a look at your site. Remember though that the advertisement you create should follow Google rules in terms of format:
*Use text only listings
*Title lines should be composed of 25 characters
*Product Descriptions should be at least two lines composed of up to thirty five characters each
*Limit your URL only to thirty five characters
Of course make sure that the message you give to your potential customers or visitors would be direct, effective and concise in order to drive more sales.
When it comes to thinking of the title line for your ad, make sure that your end result will be catchy and would push the visitors to read the full product or service description in your site. If your potential visitors do not read the full description, then more often than not, they will not click on the link to visit your site/your client’s site.
Think of it as a trial and error since it is a fact that with Adwords, you will be able to change the content easily. Do not hesitate to try different approaches and come up with a number of word combinations or phrases and then stick with the ones that will lead to more clicks from potential customers.
